NOVA Chapter October Meeting

We are excited to announce our conservation-oriented fall meeting lineup for the Northern Virginia Chapter.

Meetings will be held in a hybrid format, with both Zoom and in-person attendance at the Elks Lodge in Fairfax VA.

This will also be an opportunity to hear updates about charitable and conservation activities, tournaments, and sister organizations.

There will be door prizes for both the zoom attendees (prize wheel) and in person.

Speaker: Marty Gary, (Former*)Executive Secretary at the Potomac River Fisheries Commission (PRFC) will be our speaker at our October 10 meeting.

Marty is also the Chairman of the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission (ASMFC) Striped Bass Management Board.  He will be speaking on ASMFC and PRFC activities, Striped Bass Management, and the impact of Global Warming on Potomac and Chesapeake Bay Fisheries and other fisheries topics.

*In September of 2023, Marty transitioned to his new role as the NY DEP Marine Fisheries Director.
